I. True joy comes from God through His Spirit's work in our life, not from our flesh with its passions and desires.
II. We can have joy in all circumstances because of our partnership in the gospel with Jesus and other followers of Jesus.
III. We can have joy in all circumstances because we are citizens of heaven.
IV. We can be joyful in all circumstances because the Lord is near.
