“Calling God His Own Father”
John 5:19-47

I. The Son is not a different god than the Father; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are one God.
II. Son is not independent from the Father; the Son is from the Father.
A. The Son does not EXIST apart from the Father.
B. The Son does not WORK apart from the Father.
III. The Son is not distant from the Father; the Son is perfectly loved by the Father (5:20).
IV. The Son is not superior or inferior to the Father; the Son does what the Father does (5:21-30).
V. The Son is not without the witness of the Father; the Son is witnessed to by the Father (5:31-47).
