Redeemed by the Son, Sealed with the Spirit

Ephesians 1:1-14

I. Believers are redeemed by God the Son (1:7-12).

A. In Christ, God has REDEEMED his elect people (1:7-8).

B. In Christ, God has REVEALED his eternal plan (1:9-10).

C. In Christ, God has RECEIVED his eternal possession (1:11-12).

II. Believers are sealed with/by God the Spirit (1:13-14).

A. Sealing with the Spirit is God's POSSESSION of believers.

B. Sealing with the Spirit is God's PROTECTION of believers.

C. Sealing with the Spirit is God's PLEDGE/PROMISE to believers.
